It is very hard to recline with the handle not reclining it unless the person gets out of the chair and forces the handle back. Also, the chair is hard to keep in a non reclining possition after the person gets the chair to recline.Only a year old and the so called comfy cushioned arms has seperated leaving the framed wood to lean your arms on under the cloth of the chair.The one star that I gave is for the rocking it does alright.
