This chair is amazing! To fully understand how amazing, I’ll give you a little back story. My MIL is obese. And I’m not talking “could lose a few lbs” I’m talking “baby baluga ate a drowning cow.” The driver’s seat in her van is propped up by something in the second row because she broke the chair right off! Every single time she came over to my house for dinner she would literally break a chair. I had nice sturdy wooden chairs of a matching set and no joke this woman cracked the wood when she sat! Over the length of several years, she broke one chair after another until most of our chairs were unusable. Each time we had to put her in a new chair because if she were to sit in one of her already damaged chairs she would end up breaking it the rest of the way and falling to the floor. You guys, she can barely move her own lumpus butt, and I can’t fit the required fork lift equipment into my house, so she had to have a different chair each time. Otherwise we would have to have the fire department come to get her up off the floor. The last straw was when she came over and we couldn’t find any more chairs that she hadn’t damaged to the point that they wouldn’t hold her weight, so we used a brand new folding chair. Big mistake! She literally bent the metal leg! Husband later claimed that it was either defective or already broke. Nope. Nope it wasn’t. It was a lovely $80 hand selected folding chair that was part of a new set I just bought. This caused great strife between myself and my husband. How can I have this woman over if I have to sacrifice a chair to the crushing weight of her tank-style-behind EVERY TIME SHE CAME OVER!!! Out of desperation and frustration I googled “very sturdy dining chair”. The first thing that popped up said Hercules. “YES!” I thought. This chair is as strong as a demigod! Perhaps it can withstand the tonnage of the MIL! This chair arrived in two days and I was almost giddy to have over the moo moo baggage butt to try it out. I had it for two days before she came over and I fell in love with it. The chair was soft and comfortable and looked very sleek and nice in my dining room. I got the vinyl so I could wipe it down in case bulldozer booty couldn’t get up in time and peed my chair *shudder*. Surprisingly, the vinyl didn’t have that plastic feel to it at all. It was really comfortable. The day arrived that MIL was to come over and I actually started to lament the anticipated loss of this really nice chair. When she lowered herself onto it, I cried a little inside. But then something wonderful happened! It held! It didn’t squeak or crack or break or bend. It HELD!!! Oh praise baby Jesus! I have a chair that can hold her! It has now been months of MIL wear. This test is akin to dropping a boulder repeatedly and forcefully onto this chair and it shows not one sign of wear. Look no further if you have a serious weight problem and can’t find a chair to hold you. And if you have a mother in law from hippopotamus hell, THIS is the chair for you! I plan to get an entire set of these chairs (to replace my completely broken wooden set). I bought the navy blue vinyl and couldn’t be more pleased.Update: Moomoo bought 4 of her own chairs for her house too. Haha!Great looking but with engineering issues and packing issues. These chairs are very pretty. We bought them for our church fellowship hall. Of the 40 we ordered (10 boxes of 4), five were damaged and one was missing. I do have to say that the Amazon customer service people were very helpful in providing replacements. Now to the engineering issue: the pad of the seat apparently has a very thin piece of wood under the foam and fabric of the seat, this lends it to breaking if any pressure is put in the middle of the seat as there is no middle support. The frame of the chair is extremely sturdy but that doesn’t matter when there is no support across the bottom and the pad is on too thin of a support material. Here is an example of a good chair—great looking—but that design issue, in terms of using too thin of a wood under the pad, presents a weakness in the middle of the seat. Two of the chairs that were damaged had apparently been run in to by a forklift or something (the boxes were a disaster) that pushed their legs in under them. Again customer service worked with us to do replacements, but, at best, that is a hassle.I bought these chairs a couple years ago and they still look and feel brand new! They are extremely sturdy and comfortable to sit on. Trust me on this, I'm not a small woman.Bought 8 chairs. They are extremely sturdy and look more expensive than the actual cost. The legs are metal and very pretty. I’m using all eight chairs in our cabin around a poker table. Also using them in dining area. Not a scratch or a blemish on the fabric.Live this chair for chair Yoga. You can loop exercise bands thru the top metal part to get a band workout.These chairs arrived quickly and well packaged. And as I checked each one there were no loose or missing screws, the legs were all straight and tight, and the padding was proper. As a 300+ pound man, I checked each one and sat in them all, and found them sturdy and comfortable. The padding offered good comfort for my posterior. I appreciated the choice of colors because I found the perfect color for my dining room. So as of now I am very happy with the purchase and the price, and I am expecting very good and long-term use from these chairs.Love these chairs! Not memory foam comfort but SO much better than wood. I added several pics including one to show the height and cushion compared to my other two types of chairs. A few had a scratch/scuff area but they're metal and not bubble wrapped. I doubt anyone using them will notice anyway. I only had issues getting the correct color..was sent burgandy instead of black initially so I had to wait a few days longer to get the correct ones. I love them tho!! I have several teenagers and have had a couple of my old wood chairs broken which is why I chose these bc they're very sturdy and made to hold up to 500 lbs. I'll update this review if I can or make another after we've used them a couple of months.The chairs came assembled which is great, but not very comfortable, overall, the chairs are okay.These are well constructed and sturdy chairs and reasonably priced. They come in every color you can image. I recommend these chairs.The wood piece under the foam seat is way to think ours is already broken..Sturdy, stable, standard size, stack nicely and easily. Perfect weight. Color neutral and blends with all colors. Excellent price for this quality. Withholding one star because the chairs are only one month old.
