I haven't been able to put it through its paces yet.The one thing that's immediately apparent is that there's no way to retract both the USB and USB-C sides, to reduce any possible wear & tear, and to make it smaller. Other products have a position in which both plugs can be retracted and more protected. There's also no hole to hang it by. For this reason, the case included is useful protection and gives a ring to hang it from.Me gusta que la puedo usar con el celular, pero se zafa del estuche incorporado. Así perdí la primera. De todas formas, la volví a comprar, y sera extra cuidadosa para no volver a perder la memoria.If it had something to cover the ends to protect from possible damage...it would be perfect!Didn’t know about these things until I googled how to save photos from an old phone. Prevents you from having to download to a cloud storage, etc and then to a computer. Just plug into your phone and you can export your photos and videos.Update as of 10/5/2022:-----------------------------The company was on holiday for the ~10 day period I was looking for support and they reached out to me to resolve my issues (they are sending me a new replacement). I have updated my rating as the company does stand behind their product.I have left my previous comments so this thread makes sense to anyone reading it.Update as 10/02/2022:---------------------------Well, the drive has been WONKY the last month or so and has finally failed. I reached out to the company for warranty and they weren't helpful. I then reached out to Amazon for help in getting in touch with them - Amazon told me it was beyond the warranty period even though Rokhy states 5 years.SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY A PRODUCT FROM A REPUTABLE BRAND LIKE SAMSUNG / SANDISK / ETC.Update as 08/01/2020:---------------------------While it hasn't fallen apart, it heats up very quickly on large file copies and slows down to USB 2 speeds.I also purchased the Sabrent Rocket Nano 2TB USB 3.2 10Gb/s External Aluminum SSD (Silver) (SB-2TB-NANO) and while NOT a thumbdrive, it is still very portable and it is MUCH FASTER! If I had kept the packaging, I would return the thumbdrive.Original Review Below:I bought the ROKHY 1TB Extreme to replace a cheaply made Samsung like product that fell apart. I needed a drive that easily supports both Type-A and Type-C interfaces.I am a software architect and I use 4 different laptops. This drive is used for portable apps.Compared to Kingston Traveler drives, it feels CHEAP.The issues that concern me over long term use are:1) The USB interface ports don't completely store within the unit when not in use (this could cause the port to be damaged / bend).2) The locking method to select the desired interface (a sliding button that locks when pushed to far left/right) doesn't actually lock into place - when inserting the drive, one needs to HOLD the button firmly so the port doesn't slide out before inserting into the USB port on the computer.Nice product, but too expensive for what it is.I feel like the twisting thing needs improvementI bought two of these flash drives, and they arrived in the same package on the same day. One of the flash drives has a USB 3.1 and a USB Type-C plug that both fit and function flawlessly with our computers. On the other, the USB 3.1 port does not fit in several of our computers. Comparing the two products side by side, you can see a difference. It seems to be a product defect on just one of the flash drives.The 30 day return window is not long enough. I bought these flash drives to share anniversary videos for my parents, and by the time we realized that the USB 3.1 port does not work, we were two days past the return date.
