Really like these bar stools. Solid wood with nice finish and a real leather seat. We have a counter connecting our kitchen to our living room in our new apartment and these are great.They swivel on a metal caster.The assembly is pretty straight forward but awkward at times given the kind of chair it is and the way the unit is assembled. If you've handled an ikea or prefab furniture assembly before, you'll be fine. This is SOLID wood though. The assembly may be ikea like but the materials are definitely not.Assembly Tips: Don't over tighten the screws . They are pre-drilled and you could strip them. Also, don't tighten each screw completely when you first join the legs to the foot rest and top. lightly connect each until all four legs are connected, then, tighten them up. If you tighten one up leg completely, it won't have as much room to give to work the other screws in. keep it loose but connected until all four legs are connected. I have an extra set of allen keys so my wife and I were able to breeze though assembly. This comes with only one key so it will take a while.
