I bought 2 sets of 4 of these chairs, to use as extra seating for large parties. They represent good value for the money. They are deeper than some of the cheaper chairs I looked at, which makes them more comfortable and more stable. I like that I can fold them up and store them easily in my basement in between uses. There were very minor scrapes on them from shipping. Each chair was in a plastic bag and then they were packed in a cardboard carton, in sets of 4. I would suggest putting a sheet of cardboard or bubble wrap in between the chairs, to keep them from bumping and rubbing. For my purposes, it was not severe enough to make me want to send them back, but such bumping could lead to scratches that in time could cause rusting, so better packaging would be recommeded.
